Child Registry dialog
<< Click to Display Table of Contents >> Navigation: Adding Family Members > Work/School Info field > Child Registry dialog |
The Child Registry dialog, available only from Enter/Modify/Delete Names when a Minor Child is currently selected, allows you to define additional information which, taken with other information in the main data file, allows you to print a registry page for the child or youth. The registry page is available as an option on the Print Names Output Forms menu.
The registry page is designed to put in one convenient place, information related to a child or youth that can be shared with their SS Class/Division leaders and teachers, or youth club sponsors.
To access the Child Registry dialog, click the Work/School Information button in the lower right corner of the Enter/Modify/Delete Names dialog. Remember, this dialog is only available for a Minor Child. Any other Family Status choice will bring up the Work Information dialog.
Following are the additional fields available on the Child Registry dialog:
•Church Affiliation. If the youth or child attends some of your church functions but is affiliated to another church or denomination, you may with enter the name of their home church here. This is a History List field, which means that once you enter a church’s name, it can be easily recalled for future entry.
•Denomination. Use this field if the child or youth is from a different denomination if you would like to track this information.
•Dedication Date. Some traditions record a child dedication date.
•School Name & associated information. If you wish to track the school name for your children, enter it here. Click the ellipsis button on the right edge of the School Name box to pick a school from the Schools List. If you wish to add schools to the Schools List, click the Edit Schools button to the right of the School Name field. When a school is selected, all the address and phone information you’ve already entered about the school will be automatically placed in the address and phone fields.
•Graduation Date/Grade. The Child Registry data file records a graduation date. Based on the Grade Level and the graduation date, the program is able to calculate the grade and display it. This means you’ll only have to change the Level and Graduation date once after a child’s 8th grade graduation into high school.
If you need to enter a graduation date, you can either type it in directly (or use the pop-up calendar available by clicking the calendar icon), or have CMD calculate it for you based on the Grade Level and the grade you enter in the Grade field.
