The Tools Menu is a collection of useful program functions and features that help you get more out of your CMD data.

There is not room to place every potential CMD function on the main menu bar or on any single program dialog. We’ve placed the CMD’s main functions as menus on the program’s main menu bar, and we’ve placed the other useful program functions on the Tools Menu. The list of tools will grow as CMD continues to be developed.

With the exception of Organizations (which is contained in its own physically separate data file), each of the functions on the Tools menu in some way will make use of the data that’s already in your data file. However, each of these functions also allow you to add something useful to the data already in your data file.

For example...

•Christian Learning is designed to allow you to track the learning progress of a learner for most any sort of learning experience such as Bible studies, HBF lessons, leadership training.

•Church Office Terms provides tools that can be useful for a nominating committee process that might be used to select ministry leaders or church officers.

•Date Minder provides a convenient way to pop up a list of names associated with upcoming important dates such as birthdates over the next two weeks. You can select which date appears and how may dates ahead of today's date will be reported. This provides a quick and easy way to be prompted to visit or write a church member based on a birthday, anniversary, bereavement date, etc.

•Interest File provides the means to track specific, appropriate information about potential members of your church.

•Organizations is a physically separate database that you can use to store information about area organizations that you need to contact frequently or have accounts with such as local flower shops, heating, or plumbing contractors, office supplies stores, area churches, and more

•Schedule Places allows you to reserve and space, classroom, auditorium, chapel, etc in your church.

•The School Info item allows you to quickly assign the children in your data file to a school and even a grade in the school. You can print special lists based on school information here.

•The Worship Planner provides a tool to create flow sheets and personnel lists for worship participants.

•Hot List is an electronic version of a call sheet - a convenient way to see a list of frequently called numbers that you can see at any time.
