Offices, Positions, & Terms by Name

The Offices, Positions, & Terms by Name tab page of the Church Office Terms dialog provides you with an easy way to view all the offices of any individual and quickly assign the position for each office or ministry post held, along with starting and ending term dates.
Use the Name Search tools provided to find and highlight the name whose offices or ministry positions you wish to view or modify. When the name is highlighted, all the current offices or ministry positions held by the highlighted individual will be displayed in the Offices grid in the lower half of the dialog.
You may use the columns of the grid to enter or alter any office or ministry position's information. Also make sure that the Current Offices radio button is selected just above the Offices grid.
•To add a new office or ministry position, click the + button on the navigation bar just above along the right edge of the Offices grid. Space for a new office or ministry position will be added to the grid. Click the small icon on the right edge of the Office field to select from your current list of church offices. Click the small icon to the right edge of the Position field to select from among the possible positions for offices or ministries, and then click the icons to the right of the date fields to get a pop-up calendar to use in selecting the dates for the starting and ending of the terms.
•To delete an office entirely, click on the row of the office you wish to delete, and then click the - button in the navigation bar.
•To modify an office or position, click on the row you wish to modify, and then click any of the icons for any of the fields you wish to modify, make your change, and then click the check mark icon on the navigation bar.
You can make the date work easier by utilizing the Term Start and Term End edit boxes located just below the Close button. Whatever dates you enter in these two boxes will be the same dates that the pop-up calendars will start out with when you are editing. If they are left blank, then today's date will be the date that pops up on the calendar.
Make all changes needed for the individual's offices/ministry posts. Click the New Name button to find and work with a new name.
This page also contains the functionality to track past office and ministry involvement for the currently highlighted name. To see the past offices, click the Offices History radio button just above the Offices grid. The grid then displays the offices this person held in the past. There are 2 ways to get information into the Offices History grid. The first requires that Current Offices are being displayed. Simply click the button on the far right edge of the Offices grid that's right beside the navigation bar and you will be presented with these three choices:
•Select Copy Selected Item to History to move the currently selected office to the individual's Offices History.
•Select Copy All of Name’s Current Offices to History if you want to copy an individual's entire list of current offices to their Offices History file.
•Select Copy All Current Offices of All Names to History to move all current office information in the entire file to the Offices History file.
You can also click the + button on the navigation bar just above the grid if you have clicked on the Offices History radio button at the top of the Offices grid, and add a new office either by selecting from the menu or by typing in the information.
When you click the Interests radio button just above the Offices grid, it will display a two-column grid where you can enter an office or ministry position, either from the menu or by typing in the information, as well as specifying a position if desired. To add an item, click the + button on the navigation bar.
