Select Names for Printing (Interest File)
<< Click to Display Table of Contents >> Navigation: Tools Menu > Print Interest File Names > Select Names for Printing (Interest File) |
The first decision to be made when getting ready to print a list of names in your Interest File, is to select the names you wish to include in the list. This selection is made in the box in the upper left corner of the Print Interest File Names page of the Interest File dialog. Here are your optoins:
•All Names. Click this option only if you wish to print every name in your file
•Individuals. Click this option if you wish to select specific individuals in your interest file that are not related by one of the interest file fields. When you select this option, the same Individual Name Search dialog will appear that you use in Print Names when selecting individual names, except that the list will be filtered to include only names in the interest file.
•Field-based Selections. Click this option (it is selected by default when you first come to this page) if you want to use any of the 5 listed fields as the basis or criteria for your list. You can select any or all of these fields, and CMD will take what you specify for each of these fields into consideration.
For example, if you select Lay Contact, Degree of Interest, and Decisions Made, the list generated will include names that match all three of these criteria that you select for these fields.
To select the specific item for the names to match, click first on the check box of the field you wish to use as a criteria for the list, and the drop-down list will open. Select any one of the menu items you desire. Only names that match the selected item will be included in the list. If you change your mind and don't want to use a selected field, just click it again to unselect it.
Continue in this manner until you've selected all the fields you wish to have serve as a criteria for your list.
