Tools Menu > Interest File > Interest File Dialog > Transfer an Interest File Family to CMD

To either delete a Interest File family or members of an Interest File family, or to transfer a family in the Interest File to regular CMD family status, click the - button on the navigation bar on the Interest File dialog when the family is displayed on the screen whom you wish to delete or transfer.

When the Delete/Transfer dialog appears, first click the choice of the function you wish to use.

•Transfer. There are a few check boxes that you can check to have a few fields marked as the transfer is taking place. Check any of these items you'd like CMD to handle automatically for you. When you click the Transfer Family button, the requested changes will be made, and the family will no longer be visible in the Interest File dialog.

Note that you can bring a family back to the Interest File dialog by a special function provided on the Enter/Modify/Delete Names dialog. When the family you wish to have back in the Interest File dialog is visible on the Enter/Modify/Delete Names dialog, then right-click directly on the text that says Family Name just to the left of the Family Name edit box. This will bring up a choice that will let you mark the family as an Interest File family.

•Delete. When you select this option, a small window with a check box list of names in the family will be displayed. Click on the check box for each name you wish to delete. If all family members are marked for deletion, then the family record will be deleted as well. If only some of the family members are deleted, then the family record will remain along with any names not selected for deletion.
