Bar Codes for Attendance
<< Click to Display Table of Contents >> Navigation: Printing Lists and Reports > Print Control tab page > Output Forms (Print Names) > Bar Codes for Attendance |
To print bar codes for use when scanning for attendance, select the Bar Codes for Attendance item on the Output Forms drop-down menu on the Print Control page of Print Names.
When this item is selected, you may select from 3 options:
•Business card stock. This selection prints on standard laser/inkjet business card stock for easy fit into a person's wallet. Use Avery #8371 or Staples #610381 or equivalent. If you check the Include Church Address check box, then the church's name and address that is currently selected on the Print Control page will be printed on the card as well. This form makes it easy to print and pass out cards for regular groups such as your youth group.
•Laser/Inkjet 3-Up Labels. This is the standard 3-up label from Avery #6245 or equivalent. There is room only for the name and the bar code on this form, but it can be easily attached on the back of any card a person carries in their wallet.
•Laser/Inkjet 2-Up Labels. This is the standard 2-up, large mailing label from Avery #1 or equivalent. The name is printed in large type, and the bar code is printed to the name's right side.
•Dymo Return Address Labels. The Dymo Return Address label, #30578 or #30330 is even smaller than the 3-up labels, and may be a better choice if you need to print out labels for a very small group of names. You can also select the standard mailing label (Dymo #30252 or equivalent) from the drop-down list, as well as the label source in case you have a LabelWriter Twin Turbo. If you need to select the printer, click the Dymo Printer Setup button to select a Dymo printer connected to your computer.
Additionally, you can print an attendance form with bar codes if you prefer to mark attendance from a list rather than have people come by the scanner with their bar coded business card. You can just mark attendance manually and then enter it with the scanner in line scan mode later if you wish. See Print Attendance Forms for more information.
Also, if you need to print a few individual bar code labels using the Dymo printer, there is an icon on the Enter Attendance dialog which lets you quickly print labels on that form.
