Web Server Setup
<< Click to Display Table of Contents >> Navigation: Utilities Menu > Server Setups > Web Server Setup |
The Web Sever Setup item on the Server Setups item of the Utilities Menu allows you to create or reset the INI file required for the web server to run correctly and to allow connection through CMD's phone and web apps to your CMD's data. It also provides the means to save a Church Info table that the phone and web-apps can access so that your church's information is always displayed on the phone and web apps login screens.
•Default Program: If you wish to have one of the available apps start up automatically when the IP address or domain name you have set up for using CMD remotely is typed into a browser's address bar, you can select it from the drop-down list. You may also select None, which will force users to type in the program name they wish to access following the IP address or domain name. Note that only CMD phone or web apps will respond here, and no other programs on the host computer can be activated.
•Write Web Server INI File buttons. There are two ways the CMDWebServer INI can be written: the button on the left should be clicked if you do not have the web-enabled apps. The button on the right should be clicked if you do have the web-enabled apps.
Click the Write The Web Server INI File button when you are ready to create or reset the file. Note that generally this will only need to be done if you decide to change the default program. The appropriate web server INI file is a part of your setup program's package of files. This only needs to be done if changing the default program.
The settings will take effect when the web server is started up the next time. Click Starting or Stopping the Web Server if you need help on stopping or starting the web server software, or watch the training videos available by clicking on the video camera icon on the Web Server Setup dialog.
