The Members List preference item on the Preferences menu allows you to specify those menu items that you have established in your Membership Status menu that actually refer to members.

Because of all the ways you can use the Membership Status field, you may have many choices in that menu that are not members such as Child of Member, Non-Member Attender, etc.

Several important lists and reports in CMD are based on the program knowing exactly which names in your file are actual members. Use this preference item to select the list of members from your Membership Status list. Do so by checking any items on the list that are actual members.

Don't forget to update this list when you add new items to the Membership Status pick list.
