Adding a Family > Family Comments field

CMD allows you to enter comments for a family as well as for individuals members of the family.

The Family Comments field is available in the Family Data area of the Enter/Modify/Delete Names dialog. You may enter comments directly in the space provided, or you may double-click anywhere within the comments field to open up a larger screen to work with.You may enter up to 64,000 characters worth of comments for this family.

CMD allows you to also use the Family Comments field to enter directions from the church to the family's home. To enter directions, make a few line spaces following the last of the comments, and type in the marker ~DIR~ at the beginning of a new line. Type in the directions immediately after the marker. For example:

~DIR~Go south on First Street until you come to Hwy 37. Go west on 37 to Marion Lane. Turn right. House is third on the left.

Directions appear in the half-page church directory form, and also the Visitation Assignment sheet.
