Delete Name Contributions Warning
<< Click to Display Table of Contents >> Navigation: Delete/Archive a family or family member > Delete Name Contributions Warning |
When a name has been selected for deletion, CMD will make a quick check to see if a name that is about to be deleted has contributions recorded in his or her name. If indeed that is the case, CMD will present this warning dialog:
This dialog gives you a chance to reassign the contributions recorded in this person's name to another family member during the deletion process. This is very important if the family will need a statement of donations at the end of the year for tax purposes.
There are three options from which to choose
1.Do Not Delete the person in question.
2.Delete the person in question, and ignore their contributions
3.Delete the person in question, but Reassign their contributions to another person. If you want to reassign the contributions, select that option and a Name Search dialog will appear. Select the person to whom the contributions will be transferred (generally the surviving spouse), and then click the Proceed button.
